Opus Chronograph
Dakar Sundown
The Opus Dakar Sundown captures the final golden rays over the desert in a warm composition of stainless steel and 18ct red gold. Skeletonized, powerful and unmistakably Chronoswiss, it brings a new glow to the legendary Opus chronograph.
Desert Heat Meets Golden Light
The Chronoswiss Opus Dakar Sundown is a new interpretation of one of our most iconic chronographs, inspired by the fleeting magic of sunset over the desert. Its 41mm two-tone case combines the strength of stainless steel with the warm radiance of 18ct red gold, creating a striking contrast between rugged adventure and refined luxury. Beneath the skeletonized brown CVD-coated dial, the automatic, skeletonized Chronoswiss Caliber C.741S reveals the mechanical architecture of time in motion. Chronograph seconds, a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, small seconds and an analogue date come together in a display built for clarity, depth and performance.

Movement
C.741S
At the core of the Opus beats the Chronoswiss Caliber C.741S - a skeletonized automatic chronograph movement refined for transparency and performance. Visible through the open architecture, it features black galvanized bridges and a CVD-coated, skeletonized rotor, adorned with subtle Côtes de Genève. With central chronograph seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour counters, a small seconds display, and an analog date function, the movement delivers both function and finesse. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 46 hours, it is the mechanical pulse of this reimagined icon.
Materials
Two-Tone
Chronoswiss combines stainless steel and 18ct red gold to create a case that balances durability with timeless elegance. The robust steel construction provides strength and everyday versatility, while the warm glow of red gold adds refinement and character. This harmonious interplay of materials creates a distinctive presence on the wrist, equally suited for adventure and sophistication.
Complication
Chronograph & Date
The Chronoswiss Opus features a sophisticated chronograph mechanism with central stopwatch seconds, a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock — allowing precise measurement of elapsed time. A small second at 9 o’clock ensures constant running time, while a cleanly integrated date at 3 o’clock adds daily utility to this mechanical masterpiece.

Our Vision
When Chronoswiss introduced the Opus in 1995, it was more than a chronograph - it was a statement of transparency, engineering, and independence. As one of the very first fully skeletonized automatic chronographs, the Opus defied convention by exposing what others concealed. Three decades later, we continue that legacy with a bold reinterpretation of the original vision. The Opus remains a technical marvel, reimagined with modern materials and fresh proportions. What began as an avant-garde breakthrough has become a modern mechanical icon.
